the rss tookit worked right away for me - nice work :D

but:
im missing some proper error handling for missing or temporarily unavailible feeds.

rssdatasource
are there any plans to check if the feedurl is there (404 handling)?
what about corrupt feeds?

Maybe we can use the XMLException,
While debugging, it is clear RSSToolkit throws a XMLException but interesting thing, it does not enter into catch block.
Any idea?

protected void rssXXX_Init(object sender, EventArgs e)
{
try
{
..................
}
catch (XmlException ex)
{
..................
}
}

i evaded that by doing this in the try block:

Dim oRss As RssToolkit.Rss.RssDocument
Try
oRss = RssToolkit.Rss.RssDocument.Load(New System.Uri(FeedURL))
Catch ex As Exception
------ do notify -------
End Try

i send a notification within the catch block then to get notified when a feed breaks.

anyhow it would be nice to have this feature inside the toolkit - this way its much manual coding - akso try-catch isnt the most elegant way to deal with it

but for the time beeing its quick dirty and workz ;-)
